October 2019
W.L. Plastics Corporation, Fort Worth, Texas, has announced that it intends to construct a new high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe manufacturing facility in Fort Edward, New York. W.L. Plastics currently anticipates construction to commence in the fourth quarter of 2019, with start-up of the facility in mid-2020.
'We are very excited to have W.L. Plastics locate in New York and become part of the Fort Edward and Washington County community' said David Fink, Senior Vice President of W.L. Plastics. 'We think this is a terrific location to service our customer base in the region, and we believe the town, county, and workforce will be a very good fit for our operation.’
HDPE pipe is the fastest-growing pipe product for water and sewer applications and the preferred material for natural gas distribution due to its long-term performance and ability to be installed without costly trenching and related street, curb, and tree damage.
W.L. Plastics produces a broad mix of products with pipe ranging in size from one-half inch (1/2") to fifty-four inches (54"), with particular focus in the following industry segments: potable water and wastewater, natural gas distribution, oil and gas, industrial, and mining.
With the addition of the Fort Edward facility, W.L. Plastics will commence operations at its ninth state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the United States. Their manufacturing processes and experienced production personnel help make W.L. Plastics one of the most efficient producers of HDPE pressure pipe, and the ideal piping solution.
