THE GOLUB CORPORATION CONFIRMS INTENT TO BUILD A NEW MARKET 32 IN FORT EDWARD
Store Will Be the First “Ground Up” Market 32 in New York
(Schenectady, NY) As the Golub Corporation prepares to unveil its first three Market 32 stores in Wilton and Clifton Park, NY and Pittsfield, MA, and grand open its first new, built-from-the-ground-up Market 32 in Sutton, MA, company officials have confirmed their intent to build a new, 40,000 sq. ft. Market 32 in the heart of the business district in Fort Edward, NY. The store will be built on the former site of a Grand Union, at 354 Upper Broadway Street, and feature a drive-through pharmacy, amongst other amenities. Construction is expected to start, following site remediation and preparation, in the Spring of 2016. This will be the first ground-up Market 32 store in New York.
With an upcoming groundbreaking scheduled in Oxford, MA later this summer and nearly a dozen more Price Chopper Supermarkets slated to transform into Market 32’s in the coming months, the 85-year old family-managed chain’s ambitious rebranding effort is well underway.
